Prayer for the Week of September 13-18

Psalms 18:1-3

I will love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength in whom I will trust; my shield , and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.

Father, we cry out to you to save our world from the evil!  Open our eyes to whom and what our enemy is!!  Pour your insight and understanding into us so we can walk with great faith knowing  you are in control! You go before us and straighten the crooked paths. Thank you for being the high tower that we can run into and are safe!! Your ways are far above ours and you hold our destinies in your hand

Uplift the downtrodden and remind us Lord of the goodness you have shown us!! We revere and honor you in our lives!! Thank you for being the solid rock that we have been able to build our lives on!!  I thank you for being the mighty fortress of power and strength that I've been able to run to for deliverance.

You are my stronghold of righteous and holy thinking. Our society is only as strong as our understanding!! We trust and rely on you to correct us, heal us, renew us and keep us in perfect peace when our minds are stayed on you!!

Thank you for your healing power that corrects at the cell level. Thank you for your provision that begins with a generous heart. Bless all our institutions... safety, hospitals, military and government. We praise you that we can live in peace in Jesus name, Amen.

May we BOW (Band of Women) together!

A testimony of the power of prayer: Recently, this story happened to a Covenant believer. He had an acquaintance that wasn’t a believer who had a very sick child. He asked if he could pray for the child, but his friend answered, “it won’t do any good because she is dying and I’m an unbeliever”. The believer asked, “well, can I pray for you”? Again, the same answer, “it won’t do any good because I’m an unbeliever”! At this point, the believer said, “I’m going to pray for you anyway”. A few weeks later, the believer received a call from his friend, who was broken and asked him to pray for his child who was dying. He prayed with the man right then and asked if he could send him one of our written prayers and asked him to just read it. In another couple of weeks, the friend called again and said, “I’ve been reading this prayer over my child and my child is healed! I believe!”

Ladies, as we lift these requests up to the Lord – DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE the power of reading these prayers.

Please keep the following prayer requests lifted up this week:

  • Our sister, Charis, needs complete healing from cancer on her spine.
  • Our sister, Melissa, needs healing in her back and deliverance from prescription drugs.
  • A sister in-law, Marilyn, who is on oxygen 24 hours a day needs complete healing in her lungs. She is currently on a lung transplant wait list.
  • A husband, Chris, needs complete deliverance from drug, alcohol and gambling addiction. He is a father of 4 boys and his wife desires for their sons to see a Godly strong father and husband leading their family. Pray for God’s sovereign deliverance in his life and unity for this family.
