Prayer for the  Week of June 19-25

Excerpted from Moving Mountains by John Eldredge:

Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. — James 5:14–15 Updated NIV

What we are doing in healing prayer is bringing the body into a place where the power of God can flow into the affliction — especially into the places of affliction. We are also presenting ourselves to be used of God as channels of that healing power...

Prayer for the Week of June 12-18

Excerpt from Daniel’s Prayer by Anne Graham Lotz

When the messenger addressed Daniel, he instructed him to “consider carefully the words I am about to speak to you, and stand up” (Daniel 10:11).

In other words, Daniel needed to “listen-up.” And so do you and I. We need to pay attention, not only to God’s Word, but to this very serious aspect of prayer. We need to know who our adversary is, what his strategy is, and how we are to protect ourselves defensively while going on the offense against him.

Our Adversary Is Serious

The Bible gives us a very descriptive picture of our adversary. Peter reveals that our real enemy is the devil himself who is like a roaring lion...

PRAYER for the Week of June 5 - June 12th, 2017

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus".

Philippians 4:6-7 NLT

Dear Father, in the name of Jesus, we come into agreement this week for our institutions of higher learning such as our colleges and universities.  Within those smaller environments, students come from different cultures and backgrounds bringing different beliefs and values, creating a mini incubator society of different schools of thought.  Because of this, some of the societal turmoil carries over into those smaller environments.  So Father, our concern is regarding the rioting and disruptions that have been happening in our places of higher learning.  With that in mind, Philippians 4:6, encourages us NOT to worry about anything but pray about EVERYTHING!  It goes on to say that we should tell You what we need and thank you for all You've done.  And then and only then will we experience Your peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. It also says that Your peace will guard our hearts and minds as we live in Christ Jesus.

Lord, while we are grateful for the existence of these institutions where our children can get specialized education and training in various fields, we pray that You would rebuke and arrest the spirits of discord, division and violence so that Your Peace can rule and reign.  Lord we understand that what is happening here is a direct result of the same spirits that have been released in our nation. These disruptions become a distraction to what those establishments have been created for.  We pray that you would continue to infiltrate our institutions with your Spirit filled children who are passionate about seeking Your face and being the catalyst for change that You desire. Let Your Peace that surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and minds as they live in Christ Jesus.  Let Your Spirit so permeate these environments that our children will be able to teach and model Your character and nature to those in their spheres of influence.

We pray for a hedge of protection around all the students as they are searching out direction for their futures.  Let them encounter You and commit their lives to You.  Help them to surrender to Your Spirit so that more authentic Christian leaders are being released into society.

We lay this concern at Your feet, dear Lord, for the sake of continued education in our country.  And we are CONFIDENT that You've heard our prayer and that You are already working on our behalf. Thank you for Your love, mercy and grace towards us.  May we never take these things for granted. In Jesus name, AMEN!

PRAYER for the Week of May 21-27, 2017

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”

II Corinthians 4:7

Dear Father, You created me in your image. You blew Your breath in me, an earthen vessel. You chose me to be a child of yours!! I thank you for the powerful purpose you have called me to. I thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve your kingdom in many different ways!  When I call on your name I know you hear me. You respond to my voice no matter what I may need.

Father, there are so many wayward children - those who were taught about you in your house all their lives, but have chosen to go astray. My heart is heavy for these children that you love. You have been calling them, and for some reason they cannot hear your voice. I bind the loud voices and chatter sent to them by the enemy of their souls. I send that noise back to its origin. By your spirit I send ministering angels to them on their jobs, schools and ungodly marriages and relationships to speak words of life that will deliver them out of the snare of the devil. Cause them to hear your familiar voice in the midst of your ministering angels. Allow these ministering angels to be attractive to your wayward children. Cause them to follow your voice to a wholesome watering place that will feed them and water them with the living word!!  Bring them back to your fold to be healed and to find Your direction for their lives. Re-engage them in your Kingdom!!  As we hear about these conversions we will not fail to give you glory!!  We give you glory because you will use their earthen vessels to glorify you in Jesus Name Amen!!

Heal all the sick, raise the dead, give sight to the blind, open the closed ears to your voice, lift up the downtrodden and encourage those who are broken hearted.  You are Jehovah to all who look to you. Jehovah means... He's ALL I need, WHEN I need, ALL that I need.

Declaration of Healing and Strengthening

I know many of you have been walking through hell. I don't want you to become weary in your quest to recover from health issues. I have a word of declaration for you! I believe that can reinforce the health of your Spirit, Soul, and Body. God’s favor is on your life.

There is a place in the Spirit where we make the enemy confused. We weary him by our REST. We discourage him by our FAITH. We demoralize him with our JOY. We depress him by our ENDURANCE. He is dispirited by our FAVOR; defeated by our GRACE. I believe the days we live in are not about producing ordinary soldiers but about producing Warriors and Champions. We need to be the modern day equivalent of David’s Mighty Men and Women on earth at this time.

My daughter and son, you have been birthed in this generation to make a difference. I'm declaring that what you are facing is nothing more than like the thin shell that a little chicken pecks its way out and all the while it's working to develop a multitude of blessings that will create purpose for a new season. The Hand of God is on your life... not to be wasted... but to thrive. God has had purpose for this past season to move you on to the new season to begin again!!

1 Peter 5:10 "And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
